I think Farel said the most "correct" interpretation. I had forgotten that file that talks about Talos, but I actually read it. The Talos Principle - Prototype DLC 3.99 24.95 Add all DLC to Cart Check out The Hand of Merlin About This Game As if awakening from a deep sleep, you find yourself in a strange, contradictory world of ancient ruins and advanced technology. Stupendous Man: I had found that quote interesting because it bascially says that you must come to terms with reality, no matter what. Much like a philosopher still needs to have blood and can't live of metaphysics alone. The Talos Principle gives you an impressive amount of control over how the game looks and feels. much like the Talos contruct can't live without his blood. You can switch to a third person view, alter the aspect ration, and even alter the colour balance. The Talos Principle deals with a lot of philosophical themes directly, for example by asking the player thought-provoking questions and having the player read documents and texts. Maybe it refers to the game itself, since the player needs to break free from the "training grounds" of the simulation and be born into reality.įoma84 too said something important because it relates directly to the ending of the game. Interpretation is left up to the player and the game doesnt really impose a viewpoint nor does it give straight-forward answers. Maybe the meaning is manifold: every conscious being, may it be organic or mechanical, needs a "mind" and a "body" and can't "live" without any of them. At the end of the game, life merely changes form, from organic to mechanical, but it will still be life.
